Instructions

Preparing In The Kitchen
  1. Peel the onions and cut into thin rings. Melt the butter in a Dutch oven and sauté the onions over a medium heat for about 10 minutes. Add caraway seeds.
  2. Sift the flour over the onions and fry briefly. Wash the thyme, shake dry, pull the leaves off the stalks and add to the onions. Deglaze with white wine vinegar and add the white wine. Continue to cook another 10-15 minutes until the onions are deeply caramelized.
  3. In the meantime, season the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper and shape into patties.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patties on both sides for about 4 minutes. After turning, place the cheese on the hot patties.
  5. In another pan, fry the bacon without fat until crispy.
  6. Wash the lettuce and shake dry. To make the Dijonnaise, in a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic clove and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Brush the lower halves of the rolls with Dijonnaise and top with lettuce, bacon, patty and onions. Finish the beef burger with the top half of the bun.
