Preparing In The Kitchen
  1. Preheat the oven on 180ºC and prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the beef, parsley, garlic, bread crumbs, egg, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Once all ingredients are combined, roll into small balls and thread onto skewers. Roll the balls in a diameter of max. 3 cm.
  3. Place the meatball skewers on the baking sheet and bake them for 15 minutes. Half way done, turn the skewers to get them crispy on each side.
  4. In the meantime, slice the baguette crosswise, split each piece horizontally and brush with olive oil.
  5. Place the breads on the second baking sheet and roast them until they are golden brown.
  6. Top each baguette with mozzarella. (Tipp: Place the baguette with the mozzarella a few minutes into the oven, until the mozzarella starts to melt).
  7. Once the meatballs are done, place them onto the cheesy bread, drizzle with tomato sauce and sprinkle with fresh basil leaves.
